She volunteers on the hotline at the Houston Area Women's Center, which helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and she offers her photography services to Wish Upon A Wedding, which grants dream weddings to people with terminal illness. She is a member of Women in the Visual and Literary Arts and the Gender and Disaster Network.
Autumn has an African gray parrot, a miniature dachshund, and a German shepherd with Breed Identity Disorder (she thinks she's a dachshund) who the Houston SPCA rescued from Galveston after Hurricane Ike.
